Global Game Jam 2019: The End

Well, we did it,,, mostly.
A game has been made, and the results are basically what we set out to do.
It's not amazing, and there are many bugs. But if you'd like to check it out, you can find it (and many many other games) here.

Thanks for taking a look, and we'll post more details about the PIGSquad event where all the games made by the local jamers are available to play.

Until next time!

We've regrouped and are on the home stretch! Art is coming in, functionality is being connected, and sounds are arriving... and it starts to look like a real game!

Things keep coming along!
This should be a familiar view to cat owners who have ever tried to sleep:

One of our artists just loudly exclaimed, "I'm not putting feces in my art!"
The entire room is now more interested in what our game is about...

In other news, we've got most of our mechanics down and functioning. Art is coming in and I think we're on track to have something fun and playable by the end of the Jam!

We're back at it, and things are starting to take shape!
Our game focuses on trying to stay as comfortable as possible through the night while different things fight for your attention and make you get out of bed.
Have to pee? That's going to make you cold as you get out of bed.
Where did that light from the window come from? You'll have to go fix that if you want to sleep.
And don't forget grandma....

We've got progress on our prototype!
I'd love to say more about our game, however I am tired and things are becoming unproductive. So I'm calling it a night and will re-group with the team tomorrow.
More updates to come!

Hello again!
We've had a pretty good week and we hope everyone has had a good week as well!

To start, we've launched another Perudo update that fixes the issue we've been talking about. So if you've tried to play Perudo in the past but have seen the 'Cannot Connect to the Server' message, try installing the update.

This week, we'd like to preview some concept art for a game we're excited to be working on!
These are some customization concepts for the player to choose from:

We'd love any feedback- good, bad, or in-between. Or if you have a favorite, let us know!

Thanks again for your continued support!

This week we've released a new update to Perudo!
As mentioned last week, we were working on delivering more unlocks to reward those who have collected large numbers of dice. Those unlocks are now live in the latest version of Perudo, so check them out now, and thanks for playing!
We're also narrowing down an issue with devices running Android 9 not being able to access all the features of the game. We have a tentative fix that we're testing, and we'll post when it's ready.

While testing different solutions, Russ ran into this helpful line of debug output:

Luckily, the 'Unknown Error' is now a 'Known Error.'

In other news, more work is being done on that new exciting game that we talked about last week- we even created a logo... that we can't share yet...

What are you doing January 25th - 27th? Well, Russ will be attending the Global Game Jam in Portland sponsored by PIG Squad. If you ever wanted to explore creating games, we highly recommend you sign up for a Global Game Jam. You don't have to be an art master or code whiz, or have any experience at all! On the 27th, there will be a showcase of the different games created in this 48 hour event.
Check out those links for more info.

Thanks for your continued support!
